Don’t Like to Listen to Voice Mails? Check Out AT&T Home Phone Service
One of the things that I hate the most in this world is talking on the phone. I despise it and everything about it. I don’t like not being able to see the face of the person on the other end. I don’t like talking when other things have my interest. Most of all, even more than my hatred of talking on the phone, I hate checking voice mails. However, my hatred just eased a bit now that I have AT&T home phone service.
Here is what is neat to me about the voice mail service; you can check your voice mails in Windows Media Player just by logging into your AT&T account. You may be asking, what is so much better about that than calling my phone from wherever I am and checking my message? Here is a few situations where this could make a difference to you
#1: You are trying to check an significant message and the caller goes in-detail about the cause for their call and then flies through the phone number to call back. You normally have to re-start the entire message or try to use a ridiculous fast forward or rewind option on your phone. Since this is in a WMP file, all you have to do is place your cursor back to the same point and listen again…or slow it down!
#2: You get a message wished-for your son and don’t want to listen to the whole thing, but want them to get the message. Just save the WMP file to your computer and email it to them. You are done! No more sticky notes or dry-erase boards, you are completely in the tech age!
It should be noted that with the great service you get from AT&T that this is still a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) service and that means something when it comes to your home’s alarm system. Some alarm companies need to update their servers when you switch to this service and you need to let them know. It is a good idea to call your alarm company anytime you switch home phone providers to make sure that your home is still being monitored.
These are just a couple of scenarios that make the AT&T voice mail system superior to the competitors, but don’t take my advice alone. There are a myriad of reasons why this service trumps all the others, look deeper into the service to see if it is right for you. Try the service for yourself; what do you have to lose?
